Rockout CDMX Scandal: Fraud and Evaristo's Cancellation

The Mexican Rockout CDMX festival has been embroiled in a series of scandals, leading to the cancellation of Spanish punk artist Evaristo's performance. According to his agent and two sources close to organizer Javier Castañeda, the reasons include fraud and document forgery. The artist's representative claimed that Castañeda created a fake email address, impersonating her, and deceived the Chilean owners of the Rockout brand into paying over 500,000 euros. Furthermore, issues with event permits for the initially announced venue, Foro Cuauhtémoc, were discovered. As a replacement for Evaristo, the Argentine band 2 Minutos will perform, and the festival itself has been moved to the Olympic Velodrome in Mexico City.
